Hi, my name is Karina and I am a prospective FSU student. Currently I am a junior at an arts school in the Drama department, over the years I have been known as the "writer" of the department as I wrote lots plays, and monologues for my classmates and others. Right now i am currently writing a play (will adapt to a movie script later on) and is hoping to produce it by my senior year at my school. I feel this may help me get accepted in a good program in college. But what has gotten me confused is I can't decide whether or not i would like to double major in English and Theatre or English and Film at FSU. I've only made some films on cheap cameras, but i adore movies to the point that I always focus on every detail in the movie, the shots, frames, actors, background, the writing....all of those things. I especially love seeing my writing performed, but I feel if i do Film, i'll be left out in performing at theatre groups. Do non majors audition for plays? Can i have a double major and a minor in Theatre and still graduate in 4 years. Im scared to work in the film industry, i dont know if i'll make it. Please, someone respond because im signing up for pre college programs soon and COLLEGE! Hope to see you at FSU.
Karina. THANK YOU!
