Remember your FSU affiliation when you get out there!

Just a reminder to all students, past and present (and future), never forget your FSU affiliation when you get out into the wild world. I can't tell you how many times I have had meetings where the FSU connection has come up. Just recently, I had a meeting at a major production company when the executive and I discovered we both had a Florida connection. Then we discovered we had my hometown (St. Augustine) in common. Then, we discovered we had both gone to FSU and attended the same college there (Theatre, in this case)! We spent the vast majority of the meeting talking about FSU. Not only did I make another business connection, I discovered a fellow 'Nole and friend.
Put it on your resume', wear a FSU belt buckle, but get it out there. In a business where breaking down barriers is a major endeavor, having a commonality such as FSU instantly gives you a step up over others.
