From Matt Pope (MFA 05) “The two pilots I directed and produced last fall - Pop Goes the Culture and The 48 Hour Film Showdown - are currently in contention for series pickups by the Halogen network. They're currently conducting an online poll to let people vote for which of their pilots they'd like to see picked up. If you can spare 60 seconds, please go to www.halogentv.com/vote/ and vote for one of the aforementioned shows. I believe it will only allow you to vote once, but if it lets you, feel free to vote for both of them, early and often. Thanks!”

From Lee Payton (MFA 00) “In addition to the continuing pursuit of my tenure-track Professorship here at Columbia College Chicago, this past weekend I produced (and performed in...) a Red Cross Benefit Concert for Haiti Relief and Development. We raised several hundred dollars for the people of Haiti, as well as boxes of clothes and numerous gallons of water. We also auctioned off some artwork donated by the Columbia College Community. I performed an hour-long set with a professional local band, and we made a good recording of the event. As an on-going fund raising endeavor, copies of the CD are available through Payton Productions, with a portion of the proceeds from CD sales going to the Red Cross. Anyone interested in a copy of the CD (yes, we jammed!!!) please contact Lee C Payton at paytonproductions@hotmail.com or through my website at www.lcpaytonproductions.com <http://www.lcpaytonproductions.com>

From Bob Clark (MFA 93) “Check out an animated movie I produced and by going to the web site, at www.dixiedynamitefilm.com. We recently completed a series of test screenings, leading to cutting about 2 minutes from the movie. Susan Dawes is finalizing the revised sound design, which should be completed early next week. Run time is 93 minutes, with almost 70 minutes of original japanese/ southern fried rock fusion music, will rate pg, possibly pg-13.”
