From Daniel Aviles (MFA 09) “I just wrapped my first feature-length documentary as DP here in Ecuador. It was a 4 week journey into the lives of Ecuadorean "underground" filmmakers, who make movies for DVD release on the informal market. They produce their features with almost nothing ($2000 or less) and then distribute them through the pirates. It has been a great learning experience for me. Ecuador has been generous so far. I have had a steady job as freelance DP for commercials (already shot 6 on HD format) and both fiction and documentary projects.”
